Video: How Can My Reentry Evaluation Deal with Disruptions Caused by COVID-19?

COVID-19 disrupted all aspects of life, including reentry programs. The two main disruptions to reentry programs were to their program activities and service delivery, and to their data collection plans. This animated video discusses practical strategies to address the challenges:

  1. Address disruptions to the program by
    • Updating the logic model
    • Analyzing data separately for the cohort that experienced the “disrupted” program

  2. Address disruptions to evaluation data collection plans by:
    • Exploring alternative data collection methods
    • Ensuring human subject protections
    • Being inclusive of all participants

This animated video from the Evaluation and Sustainability Training and Technical Assistance (ES TTA) team at RTI International and the Center for Justice Innovation (formerly the Center for Court Innovation) summarizes how reentry program evaluations can address COVID-induced disruptions to program activities and data collection plans.
