SCA Technical Assistance

The National Reentry Resource Center works collaboratively with BJA's Second Chance Act technical assistance (TA) providers:

These agencies provide on- and off-site training and technical assistance (TTA) to the government agencies and nonprofit organizations that receive grants under the provisions of the Second Chance Act. TA coaches with the providers work with each grantee to develop an assessment of the project, understand its goals and objectives, and identify areas where TTA can be of most use to the project team. Based on this assessment, Resource Center staff will work with each grantee team to design an individual technical assistance plan for each project that reflects the particular goals and objectives identified in the assessment process. TA coaches also provide grantees with publications, distance learning sessions, and opportunities to connect with experts and practitioners in a wide variety of fields working on reentry, as well as with peers engaged in similar reentry work.

Archived SCA TA tools are provided below, including SCA Orientation materials and past SCA Planning and Implementation (P&I) Guides.
