This grant program from the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) provides resources to states, units of local government, and federally recognized Indian tribal governments to plan, implement, or expand effective reentry practices and service delivery systems that address individuals’ needs and reduce recidivism. Grantees will work with the Bureau of Justice Assistance to identify system gaps and then implement improvements to enhance the effectiveness of their reentry system or to implement or enhance a reentry program to reduce recidivism among a specific target population.
