In this webinar, representatives from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the Council of State Governments Justice Center will review the FY 2024 Second Chance Act (SCA) Improving Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Outcomes for Adults in Reentry application process.

Through this opportunity, BJA is seeking applications for funding from state, local, and tribal governments, as well as community-based nonprofit organizations to establish, expand, or improve treatment and recovery support services for people with substance use disorders (SUDs) during incarceration and upon reentry into the community. The goal of this program is to improve outcomes for adults with SUDs or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders who are reentering communities following a period of incarceration. It is anticipated that this grant program will provide up to six (6) awards of up to $833,000 each for a 36-month project.

To use the time most efficiently, BJA encourages participants to review the solicitation and submit any questions in advance and no later than March 29, 2024. Submit questions to [email protected] with the subject “Questions for BJA FY24 Improving Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Outcomes for Adults in Reentry Webinar.”
