Voting Rights Briefs for 13 States
The Sentencing Project is committed to expanding voting rights in every state and works with state partners to provide data on state felony disenfranchisement. These 13 state-specific briefs—which include California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas—include the history of the state’s disenfranchisement laws and the number of people ineligible to vote in each state.
