Creating Quality Prison Education Programs in Jails – Part 1 in Webinar Series

In partnership with The Council of State Governments Justice Center and the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs’ Bureau of Justice Assistance, the Vera Institute of Justice will host a three-part webinar series exploring education programming in jails. In this first webinar, Creating Quality Prison Education Programs in Jails, practitioners provide an overview of the U.S. Department of Education’s prison education program (PEP) approval process to access Pell funding in accordance with new regulations and engage with experts to explore types of programming and other options to consider when developing a PEP in a jail context.
